One of my all time favorite things to do (besides drink wine) is to play dress up. I spent the beginning of my adult life buttoning up and getting down to business, educating myself and working hard because that's how you make money and money makes the world go 'round, right?
But money doesn't buy you happiness, baby.
It also won't heal your injuries, make up for lost time, or apologize for not being there for you when you need it most. Now, don't get me wrong... I freaking love money. It provides the support and freedom I need to stay curious, be more of myself, and nurture relationships with others, but I've had a shift in perspective over the last few years, and now more than ever, I'm embracing play.
I'm a hoot and a half. I love myself, and I love a good time. I can make conversation with a fly and find a comfy seat on the floor anywhere I go. I've replaced taking myself too seriously with taking risks (like a sheer midi skirt in the day time), because life is too short to hold back and be miserable.
Words from the not quite yet wise: Do some things. Make some moves. Mess up. Buy this SHEER ME OUT BUBBLE MIDI. Live your life. And as long as you're not hurting anyone, GET WILD BABY.
